Leader 2.0: Revealing the Remarkable, Better Version of Yourself

I have noticed a common thread with the thought leaders and experts I interviewed for the Inspirational Leader Summit. It is not about the strategies and tactics that you can apply and become an inspirational leader right away. And while they are both equally important, what matters more is who exactly do you want to be.

Lead From the Inside – Out

The work has to start from WITHIN. Start with yourself!

What will you advise yourself to become an inspirational leader? (just like the way you would advise your clients or employees or children) You, yourself are your first client.

Start by asking yourself, “Who do I really want to be?” Picture in your mind, how does that best version of yourself look like? I call it the Leader 2.0. What does it stand for?

In one of our summit interviews, Mark Sanborn, international bestselling author and leadership authority told me,

“You’ve got to build your resume and legacy at the same time.”

These interviews are my gold mines, my most valuable assets. I see gold and get new insights each time I listen to them. I cannot wait to share them with you! The Inspirational Leadership Summit is coming!

What Kind of Leader Do You Aspire to Be?

I am reflecting on my own identity as I practice this principle.

What do I aspire to be?

What characteristics must I possess as Leader 2.0? Am I containing and limiting myself? If yes, how can I successfully come out of my comfort zone?

Which practices will propel me to becoming the inspirational, exemplary Archana 2.0?

Is there anything I need to let go to fully embody Leader 2.0?

I meditate on this new identity daily to remind myself of Archana 2.0. Consequently, I reflect on how well I have portrayed these characteristics throughout the day. I think of my current practices. Which ones do I need to stop doing?  Which ones do I need to start? I realized I have to let go of control and demonstrate with my actions that I fully trust my people. Furthermore, I have to be kinder to myself when I am overly critical and hard.

Now your turn.

How does your legacy look like? What do you see in your version of Leader 2.0?

What is the one thing you can do right now to become one?

Until next… Keep smiling!

Archana
